The Dallas Cowboys signed three players to the practice squad yesterday and no, none are named Odell Beckham Jr.
But the Cowboys did sign a former Cleveland Browns WR if that’s any consolation.
Here’s everything you need to know from a busy Wednesday in Big D:

A reunion for Dan Quinn
The addition that drew the most attention was LB Takk McKinley. That’s because Dan Quinn was the HC for the Atlanta Falcons team that drafted McKinley 26th overall in 2017.
Takk had a promising start to his career, tallying 16.5 sacks in his first three seasons. What’s even more impressive is McKinley was on the field for an average of 52% of the Falcons defensive snaps those three years.
Injuries limited the former UCLA Bruin to just four games in 2020, and he ultimately requested a trade. McKinley played for the Browns in 2021 and had 2.5 sacks in 11 games.
Takk started this season with the Los Angeles Rams, but was cut after four games.
Maybe playing in a Quinn-led defense can revitalize the 27-year-old’s career.
Cowboys add WR depth
Antonio Callaway was a fourth-round draft pick by Cleveland in 2018. In only 11 starts as a rookie, Callaway had 586 receiving yards and five touchdowns.
Injuries derailed Callaway’s 2019 season, and it was much of the same with the Miami Dolphins in 2020. Last season, the former Florida Gator was with the Kansas City Chiefs but injuries once again held him off the field.
The Cowboys have confirmed the signing of Calloway in no way impacts the pursuit of Beckham. But it does put WR Jalen Tolbert on the hot seat after the rookie had a costly penalty in overtime of Dallas’ Week 10 loss to the Green Bay Packers.
Tolbert lined up offsides, pushing the offense back five yards. It’s been a struggle for the rookie who has just one catch for four yards this season.
The third player Dallas signed was C Brock Hoffman to replace injured C Alec Lindstrom. Hoffman went undrafted last year and signed with the Browns, but has yet to see regular season action.
So, why hasn’t OBJ signed with the Cowboys yet?
Unfortunately, there hasn’t been any news on Beckham. It’s been reported that he plans to sign by the end of November and the Cowboys are on his short list of suitors.
Beyond that, OBJ has been rather mysterious about where he plans to play this season. But one thing we do know is Beckham wasn’t a fan of the new album released by Drake and 21 Savage:
